The task is also assigned to be a critical<br \/>\ntask. As a result, if the task ever stops responding to the watchdog, any<br \/>\ntest that is running will be aborted.\u00a0 The fa_total task will register its<br \/>\nname with the filename (not the full pathame), in this case<br \/>\n&#8220;fa_specs.315&#8221;.\u00a0 This name can be used by the &#8216;re-read&#8217; command to request<br \/>\nthat it updates the specifications by reading the specification file again.\u00a0<br \/>\nThis feature allows the specifications to be changed &#8220;on-the-fly&#8221; without<br \/>\nslaying and restarting the app. Note: re-read feature is not available<br \/>\nprior to 6.3.30 or 6.4.0.<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<h3>Notes:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">This task is normally started in the go script that starts CyFlex.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">fa_total is not a mass flow measurement application such as &#8220;lc_scales&#8221;,<br \/>\n&#8220;cf_scales&#8221;, or &#8220;scales&#8221;. The primary purpose of fa_total is to <br \/>\ncontinuously sum one or more fuel flow values with one or more air flow <br \/>\nvalues and calculate the following:<br \/>\nTotal fuel rate (Fuel_rate)<br \/>\nAir-fuel equivalence ratio (lambda)<br \/>\nTotal dry mass air flow rate (air_mtr0_mfd)<br \/>\nTotal wet mass air flow rate (air_mtr0_mf)<br \/>\nFuel-air equivalence ratio (phi)<br \/>\nAir-fuel ratio (AF_ratio)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">All of the above variables are specified in perf_labels and will be updated<br \/>\nby fa_total at the rate specified when it is spawned. You cannot configure <br \/>\nwhich variables fa_total updates, it will always update the variables created<br \/>\nby perf_labels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">In order to calculate these values, the following variables are needed as inputs<br \/>\nto the program:<br \/>\nPower generated (Dyno_power)<br \/>\nFuel mass flow variable(s)<br \/>\nDry air mass flow variable(s)<br \/>\nWet air mass flow variable(s)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The variable used for Dyno_power is specified in perf_labels. The fuel and air<br \/>\nmass flow variables are specified in the fa_specs spec file.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">fa_total will also update the following variables during a fuel reading.
