alicat_massflow

Purpose:

Manage communication with Alicat Scientific Mass and Volumetric Precision Gas Flow Controller to read and monitor gas flow data, including pressure, temperature, and flow rates.

Notes:

No command-line arguments are required. The program operates independently and can be run in the background using ‘&’.

Configure this program to run continuously in the CyFlex environment. Ensure the configuration file is present and properly set up for operation.

The ASC configuration file “/specs/alicat_mf.cfg” file must exist.

A copy of the alicat_mf.cfg file is located in cyflex/specs.def at CTC and in cyflex/specs.def at “cmxnode1”

The following variables will be created if they do not exist:

REAL

alicat_press Press measure by device in PSI_A
alicat_temp Temperature measured by the Device in C
alicat_co2_vf CO2 volumetric flow
alicat_co2_mf CO2 massflow
alicat_mf_rate Current massflow rate
alicat_setrate_mf Value to set the massflow rate when the alicat_sp_cmd is received

The following event will be created by the application and will be set if there is a comm loss: 
alicat_comm_loss

The following event will be created by the application and is used to signal the application to set setpoint flow rate:
alicat_setpoint
