suspend

Purpose:

Suspend gp_test in the current mode.

Enter:

suspend  [registered_name]

Where:

registered_name Optional. Specify the registered name of the version of the Test Manager to which the command is directed. The default is test.

Example:

suspend
The above command suspends the gp_test registered as ‘test’ in its current mode.

Notes:

This command suspends the countdown of the mode timer. The test procedure will remain in the current test mode until a release command is issued.

Use this command when the test is to be temporarily suspended and the time spent while suspended is not to be counted as part of the mode time.

Some uses of the suspend command include holding the test to maintain the current operating condition. The command is particularly useful during the initial checkout of a new test procedure. Use the hold command to hold the mode and allow the timer to run.
