PAMheader
Purpose:

Prepare a Header file for the Performance Analysis Module (PAM) system on the CTC Network. The Header file documents the current test cell environment for PAM.
All entries for the Header file are maintained in Specs files:
Data Specs /specs/data_specs.n
PAM Specs version 1.0 /specs/pam_specs.n
PAM Specs version 2.0 /specs/pam_specs.n engine_specs.n
The PAM Header task reads these files, depending on the PAM Specs version, and loads the information into a properly formatted PAM Header file that is transferred to the PAM Network Server.
The file starts the transfer in the directory /data/transfer/PAM_header on the test cell node.
It is transferred automatically to the PAM Network Server by the ASSET TCP/IP Server, which then moves it to the hold directory /data/hold/PAM_header. The PAM Server responds with an acknowledge file pam.dd.hh.mm.ss.
If this acknowledge file indicates successful processing, the TCP/IP Server moves the Header file to the archive directory /data/PAM_header on the test cell node.
