newchan
Purpose:

Activate a new input channel.
Enter:

newchan [+c]
Where:

+c
Optional. Specify this flag to obtain the specification files from the /cell directory. The default is to activate new input channel that was added to the inpt_specs.nnn file.
Example:

newchan
The above command activates a new input channel that was added to the inpt_specs.nnn file.
Notes:
-
new_chan is a script that runs newchan after running cyflexlogevent. Do not use this script unless during commissioning a test cell.
When the command is entered, the following happens:
1. The continuous sampling on all input channels is stopped.
2. The continuous sampling of input channels is restarted.
3. The command ‘bld_tables’ is executed.
4. The command ‘ai_specs’ is executed.
5. The command ‘fici_specs’ is executed.
6. The command ‘di_specs’ is executed.
7. The command ‘spcl_chans’ is executed.
